A tag is a keyword or term associated with an article, video or image. This tag describes the item and enables you to retrive information (be it articles, videos or images) by tag.

For example a article about Hamilton Academical Football Club could include the tags "Robert Howe" and "James King". Clicking on the tag "Robert Howe" (next to the article) will bring you all the information on the site that has used that tag.
