BLAIRGOWRIE High School Drama Club presented their Christmas Show – The Wizard of Oz – in the school hall last week (December 9-11).
It was adapted for the stage by Suzanne Graham from the original novel by L. Frank Baum, and the direction and production were by Suzanne and Elaine Burke – both of the English Department.
Lighting and sound were by Jamie Darby (Physics) and Colin Murray (Music).
Other crew were: Technical stage director – Chris Ewin; sound assistant – Callum McKenna; assistant stage manager – Craig Nichol; set building – Mr Colin Murray; poster design – Chloe Fyfe.
Costumes were created by Miss Laura Taylor. Make-up was by Mrs Wendy Pieroni (LRC
co-ordinator), Miss Susie Irvine (English), and Miss Sarah Pirie (Learning Support).
The set was painted by members of the cast – Jillian Reid, Angela Greig, Emma, Katie, and Sam Burke, and Hebe Sheddon.
Additional props were provided by Mrs Janet Mochan, Emily Mochan, and Victoria Gregory.
