Egg-travaganza in town centre

THE crowds took advantage of the weekend’s warm weather to make the Blairgowrie and Rattray Easter Fair a monumental success.

The second annual Easter extravaganza to hit community attracted a colourful collection of entertainers and artists to celebrate the Spring holiday.

The showcase kicked off on Saturday with Strathmore and the Glens' community market and street art by Strathmore Art Festival members, Stewart Miller, of Raptor World, Blairgowrie, and falconer Christine Adams also had a soaring display of nature.

A parade of floats left from Rattray Cross, led by Alyth and District Pipe Band, and there was also a bell-ringing contest which made sure the eardrums were kept vibrating.
