Planning for old print machines

DEAR Editor, – Planning permission has been submitted to remove the printing machinery from the works in Reform Street.

At a time when the town is pushing the area as a tourist destination, it seems mad the council does not buy it as it contains working printing machines no longer to be seen in the country.

No doubt lack of money will be the excuse but if they can afford to put crash barriers down both sides of a straight road outside Guildtown or build a pavement down the Coupar Angus Road, surely money could be found to purchase this time capsule.

John Dow,

Elder Cottage,

Blairgowrie.
