Blairgowrie’s game against local rivals Coupar Angus was postponed last weekend after a pitch inspection on Friday evening.
As it was, there was little in the way of football played throughout the East Region at the weekend and with weather conditions unlikely to improve, it seems a similar situation may be on the cards this weekend.
With the game called off earlier than has been allowed in past weeks, the management team were able to arrange an indoor session at Blairgowrie Recreation Centre.
Blairgowrie are due to face Forfar Albion away this Saturday in the East Region North Division.
The teams have already met twice this season, with Blairgowrie coming out on top on both occasions.
A full squad is expected minus Stewart Sheed, who may have to wait a few weeks longer for his suspension to end depending on the weather. All updates about whether or not the game will go ahead can be found on the club’s Twitter page, website, the local press or by speaking to anyone associated with the club.
Fixtures published for the remainder of December are: Dec 8 - Forfar Albion v Blairgowrie; Dec 15 - Blairgowrie v Downfield; Dec 22 - Blairgowrie v Arbroath Vics; Dec 29 - Blairgowrie v Forfar West End. All are North Division matches.
