All revved up for safety

FOR the second year running, Blairgowrie High School have been running a Motorbike Safety and Maintenance course.

The course is run jointly by Community Link Worker Pete Nicol and Head of Support for Learning Gordon Walker, and is supported by Tayside Police, Western Division, Motorcycle Unit.

After completing a five-week hands-on course in mechanics and safety, the pupils went on an off-road riding skills day with Midlothian based motorcycle training scheme, RUTS.

Blairgowrie High pupils on the most recent course were Neil Brown, Kieran Crombie, Bruce Hope, and Jason O'Brien.

Similar courses are currently also being run at Perth Grammar and St Columba's High.
