Two men have been arrested in connection with an attack in which a man had part of his ear bitten off in a fast-food restaurant.
The 28-year-old victim required surgery after the assault in KFC in Glasgow's Renfield Street at around 11pm last Friday.
Police said the victim and his friend were confronted by three men and a woman in the queue. They decided to leave the shop without getting anything to eat but as they headed for the door, the 28-year-old man was attacked by two of the men in the group.
The victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Detective Constable Kieron Frost described it as a "particularly violent and totally unprovoked" attack.
Two people, aged 19 and 20, have been arrested.
