Cabinet to go on summer tour again

The Scottish Cabinet is to embark on another summer tour, it has been confirmed.

It follows similar summer events in 2008 and 2009, when instead of its usual meeting in Edinburgh, Alex Salmond and his top ministers gathered to discuss Government business at venues around the country.

Four meetings will take place this summer after being agreed at the weekly meeting of Cabinet, although the venues will not be announced until some details are confirmed.
