Group slammed over rail project

Enterprise chiefs have been accused of "bad practice" over their involvement in Scotland`s first-ever funicular railway.

Members of Holyrood`s Public Audit Committee hit out at Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) after it put almost £20 million into the Cairngorm funicular railway.

The committee's criticism comes after public spending watchdog Audit Scotland claimed the original budget for the project was "unrealistic".
