NOMINATIONS are being sought for the 2012 Love to Eat “Food Oscars”.
Run by Love to Eat, a Blairgowrie and East Perthshire Tourism Association (BEPTA) project, the Food Oscars are open to businesses in the area that provide food. The awards aim to recognise those that use locally produced food and provide excellent service.
Love to Eat Project Manager Tracey Baxter said: “If you eat out anywhere in East Perthshire over the next few weeks you will see Love to Eat postcards. We would really appreciate it if you could spend just a couple of minutes filling in the back of the postcard with the details of the establishment that you think deserves to be nominated in the relevant category.
“Hand in the postcard to the business where you ate your meal or purchased your food. The results will then be collated and the winners announced later this year.”
The categories in this year’s awards are: •Best independent local food; •Best cup of coffee; •Best homemade cake or traybake; •Best take away; •Best light lunch; •Best dinner; •Best customer service
