Search for Blairgowrie’s top citizen

BLAIRGOWRIE and Rattray Community Council are looking for nominations for the Blairgowrie Advertiser Citizen of the Year Cup.

The cup is awarded annually to the person or group nominated and judged to be most deserving of recognition of their contribution to the well being of Blairgowrie and Rattray and district.

Nominations are invited from people and organisations in the area.

These will be treated in confidence by a team of independent judges drawn from the community council and prominent people familiar with the community.

The criteria for the award take into account the extent of the contribution of the individual or group, the number of people submitting nomination forms, and other factors to ensure fairness.

A nominee may not be particularly prominent in society. Previous nominees are also eligible to be nominated again.

Nomination forms are available at locations in Blairgowrie and Rattray, including the Advertiser Office, library, and the Visitor Information Centre 26 Wellmeadow. Forms should be returned to the library by 4pm on Tuesday, November 10.
