RATTRAY Primary School held their presentation of awards and prizes in the school on Friday afternoon.
Special guests were Police Constable Roddy Wood, Police liaison officer for the Army Cadet Force Outreach Project, and Mrs Rosanne Wood, who both handed over prizes.
They were welcomed and introduced by Mrs Brenda Kerr, head teacher.
Musical selections included the string and guitar ensemble playing Scotland the Brave. The P3-5 classes sang Where Do We Go From Here from Vocalease, a Perth and Kinross Council initiative for P4-7 classes to learn set songs and perform them on their own. P6 and P7 classes sang Time After Time from Scottish Opera's The Sands of Time.
Accomplished soloists were Rebecca Anderson, P7C, on violin, who played a Scottish tune, The Thistle, and Hester Woods, P6S, on piano, who played Mazurka by Delibes.
Primary 7 pupils were presented with pens and Blairgowrie High ties from the Parent Council.
A comprehensive vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs Margaret Colley, and the prize-giving ended with the pupils singing Through the Years from Vocalese.
