Playground capers at Rattray school fun day

RATTRAY Primary School Parent Group raised £751.33 at their fun day at the school on Saturday.

The event was opened by Mr D. M. Phillips, journalist, who was welcomed and thanked by Mrs Brenda Kerr, head teacher.

Many of the stalls to have been held in the playground were moved indoors because of the wet weather, including cake and candy and Kevin Donald's bouncy castle.

There were also contributions by Freda Pillinger Dancers.

Several outdoor attractions were enjoyed later, including the Blairgowrie Fire Engine, the Marching Drum Corps, pony rides by Glenmarkie Riding Centre, beat the goalie and a wet sponge throw.

Parent Group member Fiona Ainslie said they were very grateful to all who supported the event and the money raised would be put to good use.
