A WIDE range of classes are being offered by Blairgowrie Adult Education Association in their spring 2009 term.
Mondays: Art – Blairgowrie Town Hall, 10.30am to 12.30pm, tutor Mrs Lesley Crawford. Classes start January 26 for 10 weeks, excluding February 9. Fee £30.
Art – Blairgowrie Town Hall, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, tutor Mrs Lesley Crawford. Classes start January 26 for 10 weeks. The beginners section is a comprehensive course covering all aspects of drawing. Fee £30.
Scottish Wild Flowers – Meigle Church Rooms, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, tutor Mrs Sheila Brinkley. There will be eight slide lectures starting on January 19 and continuing until March 9. Fee £24.
Field Trips – Scottish Wild Flowers, tutor Mrs Sheila Brinkley. There will be six field trips as a follow on from the lecture class. Meet at Somerfield car park, Blairgowrie, at 9.30am. Fee £24.
Calligraphy – Blairgowrie High School, 7pm to 9pm, tutor Mrs Davina Rutherford. Classes start January 19 for 10 weeks, excluding February 16. Calligraphy is the ancient art of handwriting and gilding, showing different styles of lettering. Fee £30.
Tuesdays: Tai Chi – Blairgowrie Town Hall, 10.30am to 12noon, tutor Lilla Streather. Classes start January 27 for 10 weeks. Fee £25.
Wednesdays: Gymball for Beginners – Altamount House Hotel, 10am-11am, tutor Julie Driscoll. Classes start February 4 and run for six weeks. Learn how to use this wonderful and versatile piece of equipment. Suitable for all. Those who enrol should take their own gymball and light hand-weights. Wear loose clothing. Fee £25.
Thursdays: Dru Yoga and Meditation – St Catharine's Centre, Blairgowrie, 7.30pm to 9pm, tutor Mrs Aileen Brown. Classes start January 29 and run for 10 weeks. Fee £30.
Fridays: Embroidery and Beadwork – Rowanbank Community Education Centre, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, tutor Mrs Barbara Gray. Classes start January 23 and run for 10 weeks. Fee £30.
Saturday Workshops: Beadwork – Rowanbank Community Education Centre, 10am to 4pm, tutor Mrs Barbara Gray. January 17 and February 21: Fee £15 per workshop or two workshops for £25.
Handmade Cards – Blairgowrie Town Hall, 10am-4pm, tutor Mrs Jane Ward. Saturday, February 28. Fee £15.

Refunds will only be made for courses which do not run. No refunds will be made to course members wishing to withdraw if courses are running. Materials for some courses may be extra. Payment for these is made to the tutor concerned.
