A public exhibition will be held next week in Blairgowrie highlighting a range of proposed improvements in the Wellmeadow and Riverside areas.
Plans detailing the proposals will be on display at the bus stance area in the town centre from Monday, January 21, until the following Friday.
In addition, on Thursday, January 24, there will be a staffed display at the Tesco supermarket between 9am and 5pm, and an open evening event at the Angus Hotel between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
Potential improvements at the Wellmeadow bus stance and surrounding junctions include replacing the existing traffic signals at the Boat Brae/Wellmeadow junction with new traffic lights, which will incorporate Commercial Street.
A spokesperson for Perth and Kinross Council explained the plans also include alterations to the entrance to the Wellmeadow car park and improved street lighting.
New street furniture has also been mooted for the Wellmeadow, including new seating, notice board and decorative stone walling.
Meanwhile, at Riverside, the proposed improvements include a new play area, better access to the formal gardens, an improved pedestrian link to the Wellmeadow – which is hoped will to encourage more visitors – and the refurbishment of Cargill’s Leap.
